Small business owners from across Virginia gathered in Richmond for Business Day on the Hill. The event was organized by several associations, including NFIB, the Virginia Retail Federation, and others.
The gathering provided a platform for small business owners to engage with elected officials and discuss issues impacting their growth and job creation capabilities.
Governor Glenn Youngkin addressed attendees on key topics such as workforce development and reducing regulatory burdens on small businesses. He praised NFIB as “the voice of small business” and stated, “When Virginia businesses thrive, Virginians thrive.”
After the governor's speech, NFIB members and other participants met with legislators to discuss various critical issues.
NFIB State Director Julia Hammond commented on the event's significance: “Business Day on the Hill is an invaluable opportunity for small business owners to have their voices heard. Today’s event reinforced the critical role small businesses play in Virginia’s economy and gave our members the opportunity to drive home the need for policies that enable their growth and success.”
