Sentara employees set new record for highest fundraising campaign in Virginia history!
Congratulations to our employees who donated to our annual United Way Campaign. Our 2022 campaign raised nearly $2 MILLION that will provide funding for eight United Ways across Virginia and North Carolina, as well as hundreds of local nonprofits.
More than 5,000 employees across our regions participated in the campaign, raising $1.37 million for their local communities. This year, Sentara also gave team members the opportunity to increase their impact through the Sentara Charitable Matching Gift Program benefit, which matches each employee’s gift up to $1,500 if they choose.
Through this match, Sentara Healthcare donated an additional $595,000 to help promote healthier communities and invest in the organizations that mean the most to its team members, bringing their entire United Way campaign to just under $2 million. WAY TO GO, TEAM
