Census Bureau reports Virginia population was 8,509,358 in 2020

Virginia had a population of 8,509,358 people in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Old Dominion News.

The median age was 38, with 50.8 percent of the total population being female and 49.2 percent male.
