City of Danville issued the following announcement on Sept. 23
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, Westover Drive will be closed between Riverside Drive and Riverview Drive to allow for replacement of a failed corrugated metal storm sewer.
A detour will be set up at Riverview Drive. Access will be available to the businesses on Westover Drive, including Carter Bank, Advance Auto, and the side entrance to Riverside Shopping Centre. The entrance to CVS off Westover Drive will be closed. CVS customers must use the entrance off Riverside Drive.
The detour is expected to remain in place for two weeks.
Motorists are urged to slow down and be alert to altered traffic patterns, allow more time to reach their destination, or consider an alternate route.
