Virginia Congressman-elect Bob Good said at an event over the weekend that without election integrity, the republic will fall.
Good, who was elected to Virginia's 5th congressional district, said that he supported President Donald Trump.
“I’m strongly behind President Trump,” Good told NTD. “He’s the best president of my lifetime. I’ve never known a president more deserving of reelection. So I’m here to support him. And I’m also here to support election integrity to make sure we count every legal vote. And we investigate every accusation of illegal voting or improper voting.”
Good said he believed there was election fraud during the 2020 General Election.
“I think there was widespread voter fraud, widespread inappropriate activity,” Good told the news medium. “When you have a state that voted for no IDs, no voter IDs, there’s no reason to be against voter IDs unless you want to allow people to cheat.”
Good said election integrity is key and that Americans need to get rid of stealing, fraud and cheating. He also said that without election integrity, the republic will fall.
Good also called for Republican lawmakers to speak out in support of Trump and exhaust all efforts to make sure the election is conducted fairly. He said he supported legal votes being counted in the election.
“Republican politicians, there’s been criticism that they’re not speaking out,” Good told the news medium. “And I agree we’ve got to stand strong in support of the president, exhaust every effort to make sure this election is conducted fairly, and where it hasn’t been conducted fairly that is investigated and that is addressed.”
Good said he will continue to support allowing only legal votes to be counted and continue investigations into accusations of illegal voting.
“I support again, only allowing legal votes to be counted and investigating every accusation of illegal voting, whether you’re talking about, again, ballots cast without IDs, ballots cast without signature matches, where we allowed people to change their ballots after the fact, that we prohibited observers from being present to observe the ballot counting, all kinds of issues that need to be investigated,” Good told the news medium. “So I support that until every effort is exhausted.”
