Hampton home prices fall in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Hampton fell by $100 while total sales decreased by 64.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 449 homes sold, with a median sale price of $149,900 - a 0.1% decrease over the $150,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,252 homes sold in Hampton in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Hampton for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,950, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2019.
