Williamsburg home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Williamsburg fell by $18,500 while total sales decreased by 13.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 45 homes sold, with a median sale price of $202,500 - a 8.4% decrease over the $221,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in Williamsburg in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Williamsburg for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,674, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
