Stoney Creek Parkway section closing for pipe replacement in Chesterfield County

A section of Route 4930, known as Stoney Creek Parkway, in Chesterfield County will be closed for a pipe replacement project, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The closure is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, September 8, and Tuesday, September 9, weather permitting.

The affected area lies between Twin Cedars Road and Sandy Oak Road. VDOT stated that homeowners will continue to have access to their properties during the operation.

To manage traffic during the closure, detours will be in place. Eastbound drivers are directed to travel west on Stoney Creek Parkway, then north on Route 144 (Harrowgate Road), before returning to Stoney Creek Parkway. Westbound drivers should travel east on Stoney Creek Parkway, then south on Route 144 (Harrowgate Road), and back onto Stoney Creek Parkway.
