On June 2, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will start repairing Route 620, known as Spotswood Furnace Road, in Spotsylvania County. The work aims to improve the travel surface of this road.

The repair activities will lead to a closure of Spotswood Furnace Road between River Road and U.S. Ford Road from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., each weekday for about two weeks. However, there will be no work on Friday, June 6.

During the specified hours, traffic will be rerouted via Route 3 and Elys Ford Road. VDOT has placed message boards on Spotswood Furnace Road to alert drivers about the ongoing work zone. Temporary detour signs have also been installed to guide drivers around the closure.
