Six members of the VMI men’s lacrosse team were recognized by the Northeast Conference for their performances during the 2026 season, according to an April 29 announcement. The awards, determined by votes from league coaches, highlight individual achievements across both upperclassmen and freshmen on the team.
The recognitions include junior attackman Dayton Bagwell being named to the All-NEC First Team. Bagwell led the conference with 41 goals this season, averaging just over three goals per game and matching his total from last year. He also topped the NEC in shots per game and ranked third in points per game with a total of 48 points.
Beau Durkin, Jack Duncan-Bloom, and Greg Peters received All-NEC Second Team honors. Durkin led all players in assists with 22 for the season while adding 20 goals. Duncan-Bloom contributed with nine goals per game and notched several hat tricks throughout key matches. Peters was recognized for his defensive efforts as he ranked seventh in groundballs per game and had notable performances including a career-high eight groundballs at Le Moyne.
Freshmen Ethan Ostrowski and Alex Seaton were selected to the All-Rookie Team after making significant impacts in their first seasons. Ostrowski scored 19 goals during regular play, including five in a recent win over Detroit Mercy that earned him NEC Player of the Week honors. Seaton stood out defensively by ranking fifth in caused turnovers per outing while starting all nine games he played.
These accolades come alongside other conference-wide awards such as Player of the Year going to Dylan Anderson from Robert Morris University. The recognition reflects both individual talent within VMI’s program and broader competition across schools represented within Northeast Conference men’s lacrosse.
