The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that the Shirlington Circle ramp to the northbound I-395 general purpose lanes will be closed during nighttime hours on Thursday, June 5, and Sunday, June 8. The closures are necessary for paving work.

According to the department, the ramp will be closed from 11 p.m. on Thursday until 4 a.m. on Friday, and again from 11 p.m. on Sunday until 4 a.m. on Monday.

During these times, traffic will be rerouted via Shirlington Circle, Shirlington Road, 24th Road South, and South Glebe Road (Route 120) back to the northbound I-395 lanes. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs.
