A portion of Route 61 (Wolf Creek Road) in Giles County, Virginia, has been closed due to emergency slope repairs. The affected area stretches from just west of Piney Mountain Road to near Coonskin Hollow Road, outside the town of Narrows.

According to a statement from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), truck drivers are required to use Route 460 as a detour while the closure is in effect. Other vehicles can follow posted detour signs, taking Route 724 (Old Wolf Creek Road) and Monroe Street near Ragsdale Football Field before rejoining Route 61.

No estimated time for reopening was provided. The repairs are being carried out in response to an urgent need identified by VDOT.
