A section of Route 615 (Coxendale Road) in Chesterfield will be closed from Monday, September 15 through Friday, September 26 as the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) carries out a road rehabilitation project. The affected stretch lies between Route 616 (Osborne Road) and Route 732 (Old Stage Road).

According to VDOT, all residences and businesses along Coxendale Road will remain accessible during the closure period. Detour routes have been established for both eastbound and westbound traffic. Eastbound drivers are directed to turn left onto Route 616 (Osborne Road), then left onto Route 732 (Old Stage Road), before returning to Coxendale Road. Westbound drivers should turn left onto Route 732 (Old Stage Road), right onto Route 616 (Osborne Road), and then return to Coxendale Road.

Motorists are advised to follow posted detour signs while work is underway.

Anyone with questions about the project can call VDOT’s customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
