The Route 720 (Morris Mill Road) bridge over Middle River in Augusta County will be closed for maintenance from 8 a.m. on Friday, December 19, through 7 a.m. on Monday, December 22. Contractors working for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will resurface the concrete bridge deck during this period.
Detours will be in place for both directions of traffic. Eastbound drivers should take Route 833 (Trinity Point Road) south, then Route 254 (Parkersburg Turnpike) east, and finally Route 612 (Frog Pond Road) north to return to Route 720. Westbound drivers are advised to go south on Route 612, west on Route 254, and then north on Route 833 to rejoin Route 720.
All scheduled work is dependent on weather conditions.
