Dominion Energy, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), has announced the temporary closure of Route 622, also known as Moody Town Road, for an inspection of Dike 3 over Lake Anna in Louisa County. The closure is part of an annual inspection routine and will take place from July 14 to July 18, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. The road will reopen overnight.

The inspection work is concentrated on Dike 3 at the water crossing, ensuring that access to homes and businesses on both sides of the lake remains unaffected during this period.

A detour has been arranged for drivers needing to cross Lake Anna. Those traveling south of the lake will be redirected west onto Route 701 (Eastham Road) and then to Route 652 (Kentucky Springs Road) heading north. Conversely, drivers situated north of the lake should follow Route 622 west to Route 652 to proceed south.
