Route 3 eastbound in Stafford County was closed at River Bend Drive following a crash earlier this morning. As of the latest update at 7:30 a.m., all lanes on Route 3 have been reopened and the crash scene has been cleared.

Initially, no reopening time was available, and travel lanes on Route 3 eastbound and westbound were reduced to one lane in each direction near the King George County line. Authorities advised travelers to follow traffic control measures at the scene.

Travelers on Route 3 were encouraged to use Route 218 (White Oak Road/Caledon Road) or other alternate routes depending on their destination to avoid delays.
