The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has released its weekly traffic alert for the Richmond District, covering January 3-9, 2026. The department advises that road construction during this period may cause delays.

Motorists are encouraged to check the most current information on traffic and road work by visiting 511Virginia at 511.vdot.virginia.gov or by downloading the free 511Virginia app for mobile devices. Through these resources, drivers can sign up for personalized traffic alerts and access live traffic cameras.
