A weekly update on upcoming road construction and possible traffic delays in the Richmond area has been released for March 7-13, 2026. The schedule is available online at Richmond District Weekly Traffic Alert March 7-13, 2026.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is responsible for building, maintaining, and operating roads, bridges, and tunnels across the state to ensure a safe and efficient transportation system. The Virginia Department of Transportation will close lanes and ramps nightly along I-95 south near mile marker 81 in Henrico County between April 19–25 due to scheduled work activities. Motorists should follow posted detours during these hours.
