Reston Parkway ramp closures scheduled overnight for bridge repair December 1–8

The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that the southbound Reston Parkway (Route 602) ramp to the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) will be closed at night from December 1 through December 8, depending on weather conditions. The closure is necessary for repairs to the northbound Reston Parkway bridge over the Dulles Toll Road.

According to the department, “The ramp will be closed as follows:

10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2.
10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3.
10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4.
10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, to 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5.
10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.
10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, to 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8.
10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9.”

During these closures drivers will be detoured using southbound Reston Parkway and then Sunrise Valley Drive (Route 5320) and Wiehle Avenue (Route 828) before rejoining the eastbound Dulles Toll Road.

The repairs on the northbound Reston Parkway bridge are expected to finish in early 2026.
