Rappahannock County to hold household harmful waste and electronics recycling event June 20

Rappahannock County will host a Household Harmful Waste and Electronic Recycling event on June 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the CFC Farm & Home Center located at 12645 Lee Highway in Washington, Virginia, according to a June 2 announcement.

The event is intended for residents seeking to properly dispose of materials considered hazardous by the Environmental Protection Agency. According to the county’s announcement, “The EPA considers any material that is toxic, corrosive, chemically active, ignitable, or explosive as a harmful material.” Many such items are commonly found in homes and garages.

Proper use and disposal of these materials are emphasized as important for both family safety and environmental protection.
