The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) has called for Jay Jones to withdraw from the Virginia Attorney General’s race. This demand follows a report on text messages from Jones that RAGA describes as glorifying political violence.

“There is no place for political violence, including joking about it – especially from an elected official. Jay Jones should drop out of the Attorney General’s race. His comments are not acceptable from someone who wants to represent law enforcement,” said RAGA Chairman Kris Kobach.

RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper added, “Jay Jones is the worst of the worst. Democrats must stop calling Republicans fascist; this is exactly the kind of rhetoric that the Left is using to tear this country apart.” He further commented, “Conservatives are being executed for their beliefs, and text messages like these are part of the problem. Virginia deserves far better.”

RAGA insists that Jay Jones either withdraws or faces consequences at the ballot box. The organization urges all elected officials, regardless of party affiliation, to denounce what they describe as Jones’ “disgusting demands for political violence.”

The full name of RAGA is Republican Attorneys General Association.
