The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is set to hold a design public hearing on June 2 for the proposed multimodal and access management improvements along Braddock Road in Burke. The project covers three miles of Braddock Road between Humphries Drive and Ravensworth Road, including ramps to I-495 and half a mile of Ravensworth Road between Braddock Road and Heritage Drive.

The planned improvements involve intersection enhancements at Rolling Road, Wakefield Chapel Road/Danbury Forest Drive, and Burke Lake Road. Additionally, new and upgraded shared-use paths will be constructed along both sides of Braddock Road.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the hearing scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. A presentation will begin at 7 p.m., with project staff available for questions.

Feedback can be provided until June 16 through various channels: comments can be made at the meeting, via an online comment form on the project webpage, by emailing meetingcomments@vdot.virginia.gov with “Braddock Road Multimodal Improvements” as the subject line, or by mailing comments to Mr. W.
