Prince George Fire and Emergency Medical Services announced on May 26 that it will host a “Coffee with a Firefighter” event for the community at Starbucks, located at 5320 Oaklawn Boulevard, on May 30 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Members of Prince George Fire and EMS will be present to serve drinks and engage with local residents in an informal setting. The department said attendees can meet firefighters, learn about fire safety and emergency services, and discover ways to get involved with the department.

The event will include displays of fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. Organizers said this will give participants a closer look at the equipment used by first responders in their daily work.

According to the announcement, the event is open to all ages and is intended as a family-friendly opportunity for residents to connect with public safety personnel while gaining insight into their roles within the community.

For additional information about county demographics or school enrollment during the most recent academic year, Prince George County Public Schools District enrolled 6,181 students in seven schools, including Prince George High School, which had an enrollment of 1,818 students. White students represented the largest ethnic group in county schools at nearly 45%, followed by Black students making up just over 30%, according to the Virginia Department of Education.
