Prince George County seeks bids for utility construction and repair services contract

Prince George County announced on June 2 that it is seeking qualified contractors to provide routine and emergency utility construction and repair services for several county departments. The county will award the contract through a competitive sealed bidding process.

Bids will be accepted until Thursday, June 25, 2026. Submissions can be made by hand-delivery to the Finance Department at the County Administration Building located at 6602 Courts Drive, third floor, or by email to cmoroh@princegeorgecountyva.gov. Bids may also be submitted through eVA.

The initial term of the contract will be one year, with an option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. Contractors interested in submitting a bid are advised to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met before applying.

In related community context, Prince George County Public Schools District enrolled 6,181 students during the 2023-24 school year, with Prince George High School having the highest enrollment among its seven schools at 1,818 students. White students represented the largest ethnic group in county schools at 44.7%, followed by Black students at 30.4%, according to the Virginia Department of Education.
