The Prince George County Police Department released its activity report for the period of March 30 to April 12, according to an announcement on April 27. The update includes incident and arrest information as well as weekly highlights.
This regular reporting provides transparency about law enforcement activities in the community. It allows residents to stay informed about recent incidents and arrests within Prince George County.
In addition to police activity, data from Prince George County Public Schools District shows that the district enrolled a total of 6,181 students during the 2023-24 school year, as reported by the Virginia Department of Education. Of these, Prince George High School had the highest enrollment among the seven schools in the county with 1,818 students enrolled according to state records.
Demographic data indicates that white students made up the largest ethnic group in county schools during this period, totaling 2,765 students or approximately 44.7% of total enrollment. Black students were next largest group at 1,880 students or about 30.4% as reported by state education officials.
Enrollment numbers for all grades increased slightly compared to last year: total student enrollment rose by about 1.2%, from last year’s figure of 6,106 according to official statistics. North Elementary School led in early childhood education numbers; it welcomed the largest number of pre-kindergarten students (46), accounting for roughly one quarter (27.7%) of all pre-kindergarteners in county schools based on state data. The same school also had the highest kindergarten enrollment with 119 children—25.1% of all kindergartners in Prince George County according to education department figures.
These figures provide insight into both law enforcement trends and public school demographics within Prince George County.
