Poquoson home prices fall in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Poquoson fell by $24,500 while total sales increased by 7.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 55 homes sold, with a median sale price of $295,500 – a 7.7% decrease over the $320,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 51 homes sold in Poquoson in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Poquoson for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,392, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
