Poquoson home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Poquoson fell by $43,600 while total sales decreased by 48.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 31 homes sold, with a median sale price of $239,900 – a 15.4% decrease over the $283,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 60 homes sold in Poquoson in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Poquoson for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,392, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2017.
