Pipe replacement project to close part of Flag Tail Drive in Chesterfield

A section of Route 4904, known as Flag Tail Drive in Chesterfield County, will be temporarily closed for a pipe replacement project, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The closure is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., pending weather conditions.

The affected area lies between Route 4713 (Buck Rub Drive) and Route 4905 (Citation Drive). VDOT has stated that homeowners in the area will still be able to access their properties during the construction.

Motorists are advised to follow posted detours. Northbound drivers on Flag Tail Drive should use Buck Rub Drive, Deer Run Drive, Belmont Stakes Drive, Citation Drive, and then return to Flag Tail Drive. Southbound drivers should take Citation Drive, Belmont Stakes Drive, Deer Run Drive, Buck Rub Drive, and then back onto Flag Tail Drive.
