The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will temporarily close Route 651 (Belmont Road) from Route 650 (Turner Road) to Belrun Road in Chesterfield County for a pipe replacement project. The closure is scheduled to take place nightly from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., beginning Monday, December 1, and continuing through Thursday, December 4, weather permitting.
Access to businesses at the intersection will remain available during the construction period.
Motorists are advised to follow posted detours. Eastbound drivers should travel north on Route 650 (Turner Road), then east on Route 647 (Wamsley Boulevard), and finally west on Route 651 (Belmont Road). Westbound drivers are directed to go east on Belmont Road, north on Route 150 (Chippenham Parkway), west on Route 360 (Hull Street), and south on Route 650 (Turner Road).
