The College of William and Mary is a state-supported, coeducational liberal arts institution with an enrollment of 6,071 undergraduate and 2,129 graduate students. Its main campus is set on 1,200 acres in downtown Williamsburg with other campuses in Gloucester Point and Washington, D.C. The college was chartered on Feb. 8, 1693, by King William III and Queen Mary II of England. It is the second oldest college in America.
