A collaborative law enforcement effort called Operation “No Limits” resulted in the arrest of 96 individuals with outstanding felony warrants in Danville, Virginia. The operation also identified an additional 23 offenders already incarcerated in other jurisdictions who had active warrants. Law enforcement officials announced the results on November 3.

Operation “No Limits” was a weeklong initiative involving local, state, and federal agencies including the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia, Virginia Attorney General’s Office, Danville Police Department and Commonwealth’s Attorney, BATFE, DEA, FBI, HSI, Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, Danville Department of Probation and Parole, and the United States Marshals Service.

During the operation, authorities opened several investigations into violent crime and drug trafficking networks. They seized over 55 grams of fentanyl—an amount estimated to be enough to cause fatal overdoses in more than 27,600 people—as well as 15 firearms, 28 grams of cocaine, over five pounds of ammunition, 65 grams of K2 synthetic cannabinoid, and more than $14,000 in cash. Officers also recovered one missing child.

Those arrested were wanted for a range of serious crimes such as homicide, various drug offenses, failure to appear in court cases, identity theft, probation violations, cruelty toward children, malicious wounding or assault causing injury with intent to maim or disfigure another person (malicious wounding), burglary (unlawful entry into a building with intent to commit a crime), possession of firearms by convicted felons (felon in possession), assault charges including those against law enforcement officers (assault on a law enforcement officer), sexual offenses involving minors (indecent liberties with a child), larceny (theft-related offenses), weapons offenses generally relating to illegal use or possession of firearms or other weapons (weapons offenses), obstruction of justice (interfering with law enforcement duties), unlawful discharge of a firearm (illegal shooting incidents within city limits or otherwise prohibited areas), rape (sexual assault cases involving non-consensual intercourse under criminal statutes) armed robbery (theft involving threat/use/brandishing weapons) abduction by force/kidnapping situations where victims are taken against their will through violence/threats/coercion; “I am grateful for the extraordinary work of our federal, state, and local partners who made No Limits a clear victory for Danville and the citizens we serve. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District is determined to build on the success of No Limits to target, prosecute, and ultimately eradicate violent crime, drug trafficking, and transnational criminal threats to our citizen and communities,” Acting United States Attorney Robert N. Tracci said.

“Operation No Limits is an exceptional example of our tireless work with local, state and federal law enforcement partners to make Virginia communities safer; demonstrating once again the effectiveness of Ceasefire Virginia. We will continue partnering with law enforcement across the Commonwealth particularly in our Ceasefire cities to hold violent dangerous repeat offenders accountable. My sincere thanks to all law enforcement who collaborated to the success of this operation and to U.S. Attorney Robert Tracci for continued partnership with our office,” said Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares.
