Old Dominion University Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig announced on May 6 that the university’s football team will host Family Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 19 against East Carolina and the annual Homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 31 against Marshall.

Family Weekend is scheduled for Sept. 19, offering students a chance to share their experiences at Old Dominion University with family members and supporters. Activities planned include a tailgate barbeque, pregame entertainment, and opportunities for families to connect with one another. Registration for Family Weekend will open on August 1, with updates available at odu.edu/familyweekend.

Homecoming week will feature several events leading up to the Oct. 31 game against Marshall. These include the ODU Alumni Honors Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 29; a Homecoming Fireworks Celebration at Whitehurst Beach on Friday, October 30; and gameday activities involving students, alumni, and friends of the university. The week also marks the end of the Monarchs Give Back food drive led by ODU President Brian O. Hemphill and First Lady Marisela Rosas Hemphill.

The full promotional schedule for ODU Football in 2026 is expected to be released later this summer. In advance of this release, fans can purchase a commemorative t-shirt from the ODU Bookstore or online.

Current season ticket holders have until May 7 to renew their tickets through their Ticketing account or by contacting a ticket representative at the provided phone number. New fans interested in purchasing season tickets can do so online.
