Oakton Road closures scheduled for drainage work from July 21-24

Weather permitting, Oakton Road (Route 664) will be closed at the Waples Mill Road (Route 665) intersection from July 21 to July 24. The closures will occur each day between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for drainage pipe replacement, as stated by the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Access will be available for those needing to travel to and from properties along Oakton Road, but turning from or onto Waples Mill Road will not be possible.

Through traffic will be rerouted via Waples Mill Road, Route 50, and Jermantown Road (Route 655) back to Oakton Road. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs.
