Weather permitting, Oakton Road (Route 664) will be closed at the Waples Mill Road (Route 665) intersection on Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Virginia Department of Transportation announced that this closure is necessary for drainage pipe replacement.
Access will be maintained for those needing to travel to and from properties along Oakton Road; however, turning from or onto Waples Mill Road will not be possible during the closure.
Through traffic will be detoured via Waples Mill Road, Route 50, and Jermantown Road (Route 655) back to Oakton Road. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs.
