Norfolk Southern plans temporary closure of Wilsons Road crossing in Dinwiddie County

Norfolk Southern will conduct railroad crossing work on Route 639 (Wilsons Road) in Dinwiddie County. The crossing is scheduled to be closed from Monday, October 13 through Thursday, October 16, depending on weather conditions.

During the closure, motorists are advised to use the posted detour routes. Westbound drivers should take Route 724 (Springston Road) to Route 460 (New Cox Road), then proceed west to Route 643 (Zillies Road), head south to Route 642 (Grubby Road), and return to Route 639 (Wilsons Road). Eastbound drivers should travel north on Route 642 (Grubby Road) to Route 643 (Zillies Road), continue east to Route 460 (New Cox Road), then east to Route 724 (Springston Road), and return to Route 639 (Wilsons Road).
