Nighttime road closures planned for I-66 and Route 7 in Falls Church

The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that several nighttime ramp closures will take place in Falls Church due to paving work. The affected ramps are from westbound Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) to westbound I-66 and from westbound I-66 to eastbound Route 7.

On Wednesday night, June 25, and Thursday night, June 26, the westbound Route 7 ramp to westbound I-66 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning. Traffic will be detoured via westbound Route 7, U-turn at Pimmit Drive onto eastbound Route 7, and then back to westbound I-66.

Additionally, on Thursday night, June 26, and Sunday night, June 29, the ramp from westbound I-66 to eastbound Route 7 (Exit 66A) will be closed during the same hours. Drivers will be detoured prior to the closed ramp via the westbound I-66 ramp to westbound Route 7 (Exit 66B), then taking a U-turn at Pimmit Drive back onto eastbound Route 7.

Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs during these times.
