As the new year approaches, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is preparing to distribute its annual member ballot. The organization emphasizes that input from small business owners will directly influence its policy positions.

Unlike some advocacy groups that rely on decisions from a board of directors, NFIB uses feedback from its members to determine which issues are most important for small businesses. The upcoming ballot, available after the holidays, will be used to shape testimony before legislative committees and guide how NFIB communicates with policymakers.

“Over time, lawmakers have come to view these results as the true and trusted voice of small businesses in the state. By participating, you’re helping us advocate for your interests and ensure your priorities are heard,” the statement read.

Only NFIB members are eligible to participate in the voting process. Members can access their ballots by visiting www.NFIB.com/VoteMyBallot, logging in with their email and password, selecting “My Ballots and Surveys,” and completing their state ballot.

The organization encourages all eligible members to take part in this process to help shape policies affecting their businesses.
