The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in Newport News fell by $2,500 while total sales decreased by 35.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were 133 homes sold, with a median sale price of $165,000 – a 1.5% decrease over the $167,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 207 homes sold in Newport News in June 2016.

The median sales tax in Newport News for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $3,024, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for June 2017.
