The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced a temporary closure of Route 644 (Millers Lane) in Goochland County for a pipe replacement project. The closure will take place between Route 621 (Manakin Road) and Route 6 (River Road West), beginning Wednesday, August 13 at 8 a.m. and ending Thursday, August 14 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
During the closure, homeowners will still be able to access their properties.
VDOT has provided detour routes for motorists affected by the closure. Westbound drivers on Millers Lane should turn left onto Route 6 (River Road West), then left onto Route 676 (Hermitage Road), followed by another left onto Route 621 (Manakin Road) to return to Millers Lane. Eastbound drivers should turn right onto Route 621 (Manakin Road), then right onto Route 676 (Hermitage Road), and finally right onto Route 6 (River Road West) before returning to Millers Lane.
Anyone seeking more information about the project can contact VDOT’s customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
