Mason Square hosted Clarendon FitFest on April 18, bringing together more than 400 attendees for a day focused on active lifestyles and well-being, according to a May 21 announcement. The event included students, faculty, staff, local residents, and businesses in Arlington.

The festival featured a range of activities aimed at encouraging physical activity and wellness education. Over 150 participants joined the Pacers 5K run and two-mile walk that started the day’s events. Throughout the day, live fitness demonstrations such as Zumba, barre, Pilates, and yoga took place every hour on the plaza.

Local fitness and wellness businesses contributed by hosting booths with interactive activities designed to provide accessible health resources for attendees. Organizers said the event was intended to foster meaningful connections between George Mason University and its surrounding community.

Clarendon FitFest was organized through collaboration among George Mason University, Clarendon Alliance, and Pacers Running.

The event reflects ongoing efforts by Mason Square to support health initiatives while strengthening ties with Arlington residents.
