Route 2, also known as Main Street, in the Town of Bowling Green, Caroline County, will be closed to through traffic for approximately six weeks. The closure is due to a town utility project and will affect the area between Chase Street/Milford Street and Courthouse Lane.

The closure is scheduled from Monday, May 19, to Monday, June 30, weather permitting. During this period, travelers on Route 2 are advised to follow the posted detour route via Route 207/Route 301 and East Broaddus Avenue.
