LEESBURG — The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced planned closures for Loyalty Road (Route 665) in Leesburg for drainage pipe replacement work. The road will be closed to through traffic from Monday, May 5, to Thursday, May 8, and again from Monday, May 12, to Thursday, May 15. The closures will occur daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Residents who need to reach properties along the closed section of Loyalty Road will have access but will not be able to pass beyond the point of construction. The pipe replacement is located just south of Bald Hill Road, near the property at 14112 Loyalty Road.
To accommodate the project, through traffic will be detoured using Bald Hill Road, Newvalley Church Road (Route 663), and Stumptown Road (Route 662) back to Loyalty Road.
