Loudoun County announced on May 1 that it will hold a virtual public meeting about the Route 15 and Braddock Road Roundabout project. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 11, at 6:00 p.m., and aims to gather input from residents regarding the design and construction of a four-legged roundabout at the intersection of Route 15 (James Monroe Highway), Braddock Road (Route 705), and Old Carolina Road (Route 615).

The project is significant as it seeks to improve traffic flow and safety at a busy intersection. Public participation is encouraged so that community feedback can be incorporated into the planning process.

Residents interested in attending must sign up in advance by noon on Friday, May 8, if they wish to ask questions verbally during the session. Participants can also submit questions through Q&A messages during the online event. Meeting materials, including an exhibit, presentation, and comment form, are available at loudoun.gov/Route15Roundabout.

Comments will be accepted through Friday, May 29 via an online form or by phone for those without internet access. All comments received will be shared with both the design team and Loudoun County Board of Supervisors.

Funding for this roundabout comes from local, state, and federal sources such as Regional Surface Transportation Program funds allocated through the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality funds via NVTA/VDOT, Smart Scale funding administered by VDOT, as well as NVTA’s regional funding program.

Individuals needing disability accommodations or language assistance may call or email with three business days’ notice before participating in the meeting. Further details about the project are available at loudoun.gov/Route15Roundabout.
