Liberty University’s women’s tennis team advanced to the semifinal round of the 2026 Conference USA Women’s Tennis Championship after defeating Kennesaw State 4-1 on Apr. 16.

The victory allows Liberty, seeded sixth, to continue its postseason run and face No. 2 seed FIU in the next round. The match will be held at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Facility in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Liberty secured the doubles point by winning at both No. 1 and No. 2 positions, with Daniella O’Neill and Milanan Tsulygina earning a decisive win at No. 2 doubles and Yoanna Radulova and Maria Turchetto coming back from a deficit for a tiebreaker victory on court one. In singles play, Milana Tsulygina, Yoanna Radulova, and Celina Joseph each won their matches to clinch Liberty’s overall win.

Kennesaw State picked up its only point with Ema Baraniakova’s straight-set victory at No. 1 singles over O’Neill. Two other singles matches were unfinished as Liberty had already secured enough points for the team victory.

This result marks Liberty’s third consecutive appearance in the CUSA Championship semifinal since joining the league in 2023 and maintains an undefeated record against Kennesaw State all-time (5-0). The Lady Flames are set to meet FIU for a third straight postseason; FIU has won both previous encounters including last year’s final.
