The Liberty softball team earned three end-of-year awards as the 2026 Conference USA Softball All-Conference Team was announced on May 5.

The recognition highlights the achievements of Liberty athletes during the season and underscores their contributions to the team’s performance. The announcement comes as the Lady Flames prepare for postseason play.

Sophomore designated player Alexia Carrasquillo was named to the Conference USA Softball All-Conference first team. Outfielder Dani Lee and infielder Maci Strickland were both selected for the All-Freshman Team. All three received their first career end-of-year awards, with Strickland having previously been named Conference USA Freshman of the Week twice this season.

Carrasquillo, from Clermont, Florida, bats .339 with a team-leading 11 doubles, 11 home runs, and 44 runs batted in overall. In conference play, she hit .364 with eight doubles, seven home runs, and 26 RBI. She ranks among the top ten in most offensive categories within Conference USA. Notably, Carrasquillo delivered go-ahead three-run home runs in crucial moments against James Madison and Middle Tennessee this season.

Lee has had a strong freshman year batting .373 overall with seven doubles, four home runs, and 19 RBI. Her ten-game hitting streak earlier this season tied for fourth longest by a Liberty freshman in program history. Strickland has taken over third base as a freshman while batting .291 overall with eight doubles and leading all conference players with three triples during league play.

The Lady Flames (26-27 overall; 18-9 CUSA) are preparing for the upcoming Conference USA Softball Championship in Newark where they will compete as defending champions and enter as No.3 seed after earning a first-round bye.
