Liberty University announced on April 29 that the Liberty Lady Flames softball team will end its regular-season schedule with a three-game series against Kennesaw State, starting Thursday and running through Saturday in Kennesaw, Georgia.

This series marks the final opportunity for Liberty (23-26 overall, 15-9 in Conference USA) to secure its position before the start of the Conference USA Softball Championship. The Lady Flames are currently tied for third place in the conference standings alongside Delaware and New Mexico State, trailing second-place Western Kentucky by three games. Jax State has already clinched both the regular-season title and top seed for the upcoming championship tournament, which is set to begin May 6 in Newark, Delaware.

The matchups will be broadcast on ESPN+ each day of the series, with radio coverage provided by LFSN Radio featuring play-by-play from Jaime Hall. The last time Liberty played at Kennesaw was during a notable game on May 14, 2021; they defeated the Owls 5-4 in the ASUN Softball Championship—a win that sent them to their first of five consecutive NCAA Regional appearances.

Kennesaw State enters this weekend looking to break two separate losing streaks: fifteen straight losses overall and fifteen consecutive defeats against Liberty. Their most recent victory came on March 29 against UTEP. The Lady Flames have not lost to KSU since April 2, 2021.

Several key players are highlighted ahead of this week’s games: Alexia Carrasquillo leads Liberty in home runs (11) and runs batted in (42), while freshman Dani Lee holds a .351 batting average. Other contributors include Ella Fox with a team-high nine stolen bases and Savannah Jessee with seven home runs this season. On pitching staff, Camden Anders has an eight-win record within conference play; Danner Allen threw a no-hitter earlier this month; Gabby Mike recently achieved a career-high seven strikeouts; Abigail Findlay earned a win over nationally ranked Virginia Tech; Kaylan Yoder has returned from injury making several recent appearances.

Three Georgia natives—Maci Strickland (Dallas), Camden Anders (Valdosta), and Caitlyn Nesbitt (Dublin)—will have an opportunity to compete close to home during this concluding road trip.
