The Liberty Flames men’s tennis team received five selections in the 2026 Conference USA Men’s Tennis Postseason awards, the conference announced on Apr. 28.

These awards highlight individual and team achievements for Liberty during the season. The recognition comes after the team finished with a 14-10 record and placed second in the Conference USA Championship.

Liberty’s top doubles pair, Benjamin Sparks and David Ekpenyong, were named to the All-Conference Doubles first team after finishing with a 12-6 overall record and going undefeated in two matches during the championship tournament. The duo also earned CUSA Doubles Pair of the Week honors on April 8. The No. 2 doubles pairing of Rodrigo Santiago Arraez and Guy Vorwerk was selected for the All-Conference Doubles second team, having led all Liberty pairs with a 13-5 record this season.

In singles play, three Flames—Arraez, Chase Robinson, and Sparks—were named to the CUSA All-Conference Singles second team. Robinson led Liberty with a singles record of 14-6 while primarily playing at No. 6 singles; he is also noted as being selected for an All-Conference honor for a second time after his previous inclusion in 2024. Arraez finished his junior year with an overall singles mark of 11-10, including wins at both No.1 and No.3 positions; he was recognized as CUSA Athlete of the Week on February 11 following his victory over Auburn’s Billy Blaydes. Sparks concluded his redshirt freshman season with an identical singles record to Arraez (11-10) while contributing strongly at both singles and doubles positions throughout.

The team’s runner-up finish in this year’s championship reflects consistent performances from its top athletes across multiple events.

As Liberty looks ahead to future seasons, these postseason recognitions underscore strong contributions from returning players as well as those moving into more prominent roles.
