The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced a planned closure of the left travel lane on Route 288 northbound between Iron Bridge Road and Hull Street. The closure is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, and will remain in effect until 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, weather permitting.

According to VDOT, the lane closure is necessary to allow for concrete repairs along this section of Route 288 in Chesterfield County. Drivers traveling through the area are advised to use caution and follow all posted signage and devices that direct traffic around the work zone.

“Motorists should drive with caution in the area and obey signage and devices directing traffic around the work zone,” VDOT stated.

For additional information or questions regarding this project, individuals can contact VDOT’s customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
