Beginning March 31, the right lane of southbound U.S. 17 Business, known as Broadview Avenue, will be closed between Gold Cup Drive and Roebling Street in Warrenton. This closure will last approximately 45 days as crews work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., replacing curbs and sidewalks in the area.

The lane closures will remain in effect overnight due to safety regulations regarding the proximity of construction equipment to the public. Some additional temporary lane closures may occur during work hours, but access to businesses along the route will be maintained. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant for workers near entry points.

This initiative is part of the SMART Scale project aimed at improving safety and reducing traffic congestion along Broadview Avenue, with the project’s completion anticipated in May 2026.

Further information about this construction can be found on the Broadview Avenue improvement project page.
