Route 790, known as Kamps Mill Road, in Lancaster County is currently closed. This closure follows a routine inspection which discovered deterioration in a culvert over Camps Millpond. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reported that the decision was made to ensure motorist safety.

Officials recommend motorists use Route 3 as an alternate path. Signs and road barricades have been placed to redirect travelers around the affected area. According to a traffic count by VDOT, Kamps Mill Road is used by an average of 90 vehicles daily.

VDOT will provide details on when the road will reopen after finalizing the schedule for the emergency repair project.
